Definition of rhyming words.
Lesson/Activity Description:
Intro (Whole):

T: Today
we are going to learn a song and a little dance about astronauts. Can anyone
tell me what an astronaut does?
·
S: Answer along the lines of traveling into
space
·
T: Very good! Now, first I will show you the
whole thing and then I will teach you how the song goes piece by piece. How
does that sound?
Learn the song (“Part”):
·
T: First,
we are going to start with the motions. Let’s make sure all of our body parts
are working!
·
T: Let’s start with our legs. Pat your legs like
this, your right leg first then your left.
·
S: echos
·
T: Now are your hands working, let’s clap!
·
Group: echos
·
T: How about your feet? Are your feet working?
Let’s stop 4 times.
·
T: Demonstrates, right foot first then left.

T: Now can everyone clap their hands and slide
their right hand forward like a rocket?

T: Demonstrates.

T: Perfect! Now let’s put them all together. I
will demonstrate what to do, and when I point to you, you repeat what I just
did.
